2FA or two-factor authentication
2FA or two-factor authentication

Security is one of Embily's top priorities. To improve the product’s trustworthiness, we are adding two-factor authentication.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security process which requires users to provide two types of identification before accessing their account:

  • your unique secure password
  • a unique code generated by an authentication app

We recommend using the Google Authenticator app. If you have 2FA enabled, you will receive a temporary 6-digit code that can be used only for about 20 seconds. After one code expires, another code will be generated automatically.

The requirement to enter both your password and this 6-digit code makes your account better protected. Even if your password is compromised, your account cannot be accessed without direct access to your mobile device.

Please find a step-by-step instruction on how to enable https://help.embily.com/en/articles/6109861-how-to-enable-two-factor-authentication-2fa

and disable 2FA here - https://help.embily.com/en/articles/6110132-how-to-disable-two-factor-authentication-2fa
